About Me

My photo
Julie Hedeen
I am mostly what I said I wanted to be when I was six: A mommy, a singer and a nurse. I also wanted to be an astronaut (although the term hadn't been invented yet) but I changed my mind after Apollo 13. I want to be MUCH closer to home when I die! So now I content myself with sitting in my hot tub on winter nights and contemplating the stars!

In your face?

I don't think of myself as very forthright, but apparently my kids think otherwise. Last year one of them asked me why I had clipped out an ad from the paper and taped it to the cupboard.
"Well, it's an anonymous tipline to report illegal drug use or underage drinking," I answered. There was a moment of silence while she formulated her reply. Then everyone burst out laughing when she said,
"Since when would you feel the need to be anonymously reporting something like that Mom?"
